Some tips on how to help yourself when doing physical training :

  • Eat regular meals and vary foodstuff: aim for 2000 calories a day for women and 2500 for men
  • Dress the part: make sure you are wearing the right shoes and clothing for your sport
  • Aim to increase your training by 10% per week for optimum effect and minimum strain
  • Warm up and cool down properly to reduce the chance of injury
  • Get your heart going: exercise for at least 20 minutes three times a week
  • Relax: Gentler forms of exercise such as yoga, soothes the mind as well as the body
  • Try somethign new: varying the schedule helps to keep you motivated and also nesures more muscle groups are worked
  • Get into a routine : you will be more likely to stick to it.
  • Train with a friend to increase your motivation
  • Watch your posture
  • Have a massage treatment: This reduces chance of injuey and helps to improve your performance
